For commercial
and rubber backed carpets without padding, choose Economy ER10 (.098
Thick).
This is for very thin carpet. Glued to the
floor type and such. Never use where you have any type padding or
any thickness of anykind. .098 will work great if there is no sponginess
below it.
For low pile carpets
of 3/8 inches or less including padding choose Intermediate ER19
(.110 Thick).
This is for very regular carpet. Never use
where you have any type padding or any thickness that makes your total
thickness of more than 3/8 of an inch. .110 will work great if there
is not extreme sponginess below it.
For medium pile
carpets of 3/4 inches or less including padding choose Standard
thickness ER20 (.130 Thick).
Basically this is for very standard carpet where total
thickness of is no more than 3/4 of an inch. This .130 thick mat will
work well on most standard carpet and pads however do not use on extra
plush or shag carpets as they tend to be spongier and will allow wheels
to sink in and form a dip in the mat. This will be even more prominent
if the chair is very heavy or the person siting in it is heavy. At
that point you should consider the Premium mat that is .200 thick
For carpets up to 1 inch thick,
choose Deluxe ER30 (.170 Thick).
For plush carpet where total
thickness including pad is 1 inch or less. This .170
thick mat will work well on most carpet and pads that are not overly spongy. If you have this problem or have had wheels
to sink in and form a dip in the mat you probably should try the er35 Premium mat.
For carpets more
than 1 inch thick,
choose Premium ER35 (.200 Thick).
Use for very plush carpet where total
thickness of is more than 1 inch including padding. This .200
thick mat will work well on all carpet and pads. This will solve most
problems where the wheels sink in and form a dip in the mat. If the
chair is very heavy or the person siting in it is heavy it is still
possible in some instances to get some of this problem.
Anti-Static mats
For low pile carpets of 3/8 inches or less including padding choose
Transtat ER19 (.110 Thick) mat.
Static forms with friction from shoes on carpet. Anti-static
mats are not made for hardwood floors as they do not form static.
These mats are for static disipation in carpeted areas and are .110
thick and work well. The mat is guaranteed for 3 years.
